Premier Alden McLaughlin is continuing the process of getting to know the various departments and agencies under his leadership.

On 3rd March 2015, Mr McLaughlin, who is Minister of Home Affairs, Health and Culture, toured the Mosquito Research & Control Unit (MRCU), including the new MRCU Airport Hangar, to learn about day-to-day mosquito control operations.

The Premier commended the staff for their recent success helping to control the spread of chikungunya, a viral disease that is transmitted to humans by infected mosquitoes.

Other upcoming visits are: the Health Services Authority including Faith Hospital in Cayman Brac, Public Health Department, Department of Environmental Health (both Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac offices), the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands, the Cayman National Cultural Foundation and the Cayman Islands National Museum.
